In May 2014, Barry proudly opened Positive Plumbing & Mechanical Inc.
Before launching the business, Barry spent years in the trenches mastering the trade. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as an apprentice and licensed plumber across both British Columbia and Ontario. This cross-country journey gave him invaluable, hands-on expertise in everything from complex commercial systems and residential plumbing to advanced gas and mechanical equipment. Today, Barry brings that elite, multi-provincial standard of craftsmanship to every single job site, ensuring your home or business is backed by a lifetime of true trade expertise.
Barry’s credentials place him at the absolute top of his field. In 2012, he graduated from the prestigious British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), earning his Red Seal Plumbing License, G2 Gas Certificate, and Cross-Connection Control Certificate. This followed his 2007–2009 training, during which he earned a Red Seal in Class 4 Power Engineering, a role that propelled him to the position of Lead Engineer at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
Holding dual Red Seal certifications across two distinct trades gives Barry a rare, macro-level understanding of commercial and residential mechanical systems that sets Positive Plumbing miles apart from the competition.
Barry’s time at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler went far beyond technical maintenance,it was where his leadership philosophy was born. He left the luxury resort with extensive training in leadership, troubleshooting, team training coordination, and strict health and safety protocols. Most importantly, it instilled in him a five-star standard for customer service, earning him multiple awards for his service, dedication, and performance. Today, Barry infuses those exact hospitality-level standards into Positive Plumbing's culture, ensuring clients receive elite communication and care alongside masterful technical work.

With over six years of hands-on experience covering every corner of the plumbing world, there isn’t a pipe problem Kevin can’t solve. He’s currently tracking toward his official license as a 4th-year apprentice, constantly leveling up his skills to ensure our customers get top-tier, cutting-edge service every single day.

Anders joined us in October 2021 and immediately made an impact. As a Level 2 Apprentice, he pairs a sharp technical focus with a rich background of diverse work and life experiences, making him an incredibly versatile asset on any job site. Anders has a natural knack for troubleshooting and a great attitude, and we are absolutely thrilled to have his talent and drive powering our team.

We are thrilled to introduce Leandro, our newest apprentice, who joins us with nearly five years of industry experience under his belt. With his fantastic attitude and great energy, he has already fit in wonderfully with the rest of our team. When asked what he loves most about his work, Leandro shared, "I love meeting new people and seeing new places every day." We couldn't be happier to have his passion and expertise on board!

Team Dog
Molly joined Positive Plumbing in July 2015 and quickly clawed her way to the top of the corporate ladder. As the undisputed Chief of Tail Wagging, her daily duties include maintaining office morale, auditing lunches for dropped snacks, and aggressively advocating for Friday Socials. When she’s not keeping the crew smiling, she’s lending her star power to our social media channels.
